The lodge
Rio Parismina is a resort lodge located on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. Built on 50 private acres of lush jungle on the banks of the famous Parismina River. Here you will find luxury accommodations, superb food, and a wealth of amenities in on of the world's finest tarpon and snook sportfishing areas.
The rooms are very spacious and have private baths and ceiling fans. Set among the lush tropical gardens is a pool and a jacuzzi.
The jungle
The seemingly endless network of rivers, streams and lagoons also offer the angler a wondrous and exciting challenge.
These jungle backwaters are filled with exotic river fish waiting to ambush your offering. Fish with names like machaca, mojara, guapote as well as mangrove snappers, four different species of snook, and tarpon call this rainforest their home.
Seasons
Although the lodge operates year round, the best seasons for the fishing are spring and fall. |

Fish
Casting a fly into a school of feeding tarpon is just the start of one of the greatest experiences an angler can have. Perhaps no other fish will take a lure so softly and then explode into wild, acrobatic leaps to throw the lure.
The Parismina River is the site of four world record snook. Casting into the surf at the river mouth, you can spot giant snook as they frantically chase after baitfish.
Much of the freshwater fishing is done within the boundary of the Tortuguero National Park, affording you the opportunity to enjoy the rainforest, still untouched by man.
You also have the option of fishing a few miles offshore, where you may catch snapper, wahoo, jack crevalle, king mackerel and tuna.

All packages include pick up at the international airport in San Jose, transportation between Rio Parismina and San Jose, meals at the lodge, beverages and domestic liquors. Not included is lodging in San Jose, a $ 30 fishing license or gratuities. |
